Man Can Not Live by Bread Alone
For believers to get an understanding of God's holy word, they must read the bible daily. The bible lets us know in 2 Timothy 3:16, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" The bible encourages us all that man can not live by bread alone, but instead by every word that proceeds out the mouth of God. Please use the this link to my bible reading spreadsheet to begin your weekly readings. Follow the instructions to record your progress to completing the bible in one year. CIT 154 students are asked to sign in and comment on each weekly bible reading completed.

Marvel Not..You Must Be Born Again
The bible speaks of Pharisee named Nicodemus, who came to Jesus one night, in Chapter 7 of the book of John (John 3:7), and he said “Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him”. And the bible says, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
So quite naturally Nicodemus thought how is this possible, as many of you who are also unaware of Gods plan of salvation for you life, might also wonder. And he asked Jesus, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? And the bible says “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again”.

I want to extend this same message to all you readers out
there, who have not been born again, and may even marvel at the thought that
Jesus said in his word that this is the only way to enter into the Kingdom of
Heaven. And what does the Lord Jesus
mean by being born again? You may ask.
Well beloved I just want to let you know first that Jesus loves you and
he has made the way to him in heaven very easy for them that believe. In fact
Jesus said, he said in the 11th Chapter of Matthew, “For my
yoke is easy and my burden is light”.
In other words what he requires is not hard at all. It’s as simple as being baptized in the
water, in the name of Jesus Christ and then being baptized in the Holy
Spirit. This is what Jesus meant; when
he said, “you must be born of in the water and the spirit”. Water
baptism in the name of Jesus Christ associates a believer with the burial of
Jesus. It is symbolic of burying and
leaving behind our sins, rising from the watery grave to walk with Christ in a
new life. Here is a slideshow of
baptisms being conducted by churches abroad.
Despite the many discussions and arguments among scholars
regarding the baptism, the fact remains that Jesus embraced the principle and
he presented himself to be baptized by John in the Jordan River, to fulfill all
righteousness (Matthew 3:13-16); he then commissioned the practice of Baptism
during his ministry when he told the apostles in the book of Matthew (Matt
28:19) “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”:
Moreover the apostles obeyed the command of Christ, just as we believers do
today and continued the practice of water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ,
when Peter stood up on the day of Pentecost and said to the multitudes in Acts
2:38 “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for
the remission of sins”. And with those
words I leave you and encourage you to learn more of Jesus Christ for your own
salvation…for truly we are saved by baptism.
And marvel not…you must be born again.
